We're looking to fill the following role:

New Client Executive

What do you get to do?  

  • Lead sales for our team, identifying, nurturing and closing new business opportunities. 

  • Help keep and grow existing client relationships. 

  • Create and improve client-centric experiences.   

  • Recommend tools and resources that would enable you to do your job better. 

What does success look like?  

  • Closing a minimum of $85,000 in sales per month.  

  • Maintaining a consistent pipeline of business leads.  

  • Creating and maintaining positive client relationships.  

What traits are needed to do this job well? 

  • Selling, Persuasion & Negotiation: in this role, selling is your primary responsibility. We want to ensure you enjoy this type of work, and comfortable with selling-related skills. 

  • Pipeline Development & Research: you will need to build and maintain a full pipeline of sales prospects. 

  • Client Service & Proactive Problem-Solving: identify client needs and offer solutions to help them achieve their goals.   

  • Business Intelligence: we want you to be informed about our industry, our competitors, our value proposition.  

  • Communication & Interpersonal Communication: communicate effectively with others (verbally and written means of communication), and lead sales calls and presentations. 

  • Virtual & Tech-friendly: comfort and willingness to learn and use different software programs and tools for meetings and communicating. Our team primarily works remote.  

  • Collaboration: we work together, support one another, and share our work.   

  • Appreciate Dimensions of Diversity: appreciate and celebrate the various dimensions of diversity, and be an active learner of culture and DEI trends. 

What does a day-to-day look like?  

  • Researching and contacting new business leads for DEI services.  

  • Speaking with prospective clients about their goals, needs and problems, and offering solutions to meet their needs. 

  • Developing and/or tailoring proposals for new business opportunities. 

  • Negotiating rates based on Colorful Connections’ budgets and closing the sale.  

  • Work with Supplier Diversity contacts and programs to secure service contracts.   

  • Engage current and past clients on how we can continue to support their DEI journey. 

  • Help refine sales processes and procedures and recommend improvements.
