WHAT IS THE BECOMING AN EQUITY BROKER WORKSHOP?

Becoming anti-racist is an ongoing process that involves a willingness to understand your role in systematic racism and actively speak out against it.


This workshop guides participants toward action in three phases: Fear, Learn and Grow. The journey begins with confronting the fear of saying and doing the wrong thing; re-learning race and confronting how racism shows up in everyday life, our work, our play and our relationships; and concluding with a commitment to grow as an anti-racist.

CASS BOWERS

Cass has over 20 years of diverse Human Resources and Training experience, including curriculum development and training execution in-person and online. Cass is also a Ph.D. student working toward building diversity awareness and elevating the needs of Women of Color in nonprofit organizations.
