BECOMING AN EQUITY BROKER:
RELEARNING RACE & MOVING FROM ALLY TO EQUITY BROKER
Becoming anti-racist is an ongoing process that involves a willingness to understand your role in systematic racism and actively speak out against it.
This workshop series guides participants toward action in three phases: Fear, Learn and Grow.
The journey begins with confronting the fear of saying and doing the wrong thing; relearning race and confronting how racism shows up in everyday life, our work, our play and our relationships; and committing to grow as an anti-racist.
During this workshop, participants will learn about the social constructs of race, how it differs from ethnicity, and institutional racism. Participants will also gain knowledge, confidence and skills to analyze and challenge racism, biases and other inequities within their organizations and society.
